INTRODUCTION OF PROCUREMENT ENGINEER JANETTE MERILÄINEN
"Hi!
My name is Janette Meriläinen, and I started at Kospro in June.
Alongside working at Kospro, I am finishing my civil engineering studies at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. I have a few courses and my thesis left, so I am almost done. I discovered procurement during my second year of studies and spent a year and a half working on project procurement before joining Kospro.
In my thesis for Kospro, I will be examining the cost effects of low-carbon construction and the possibility of procurement to influence the emissions of a construction project at different stages. My work continues the Kospro's Business Finland-funded project "Implementation of Low-Carbon in the Procurement Process," which is part of the #KIRAilmasto program for a low-carbon built environment."
In my free time, I spend a lot of time with family and friends. Excercise and nature are also an important part of my life, and I enjoy various sports. I learned about Kospro and its operations through LinkedIn. Working in procurement at an innovative and development-oriented company immediately piqued my interest, and I was excited to apply for the position. The decision has felt just right now that a few months of work are behind me."
