NEWS FROM NINA AFTER SIX MONTHS
"Hello!
Half a year has passed since I started my first day at Kospro in March. Although time has passed quickly, half a year feels like a very short time considering all that has been done, experienced, and learned during this period. The past six months have included project acquisitions, daily procurement development, training, as well as the development of our own operations as the team grows – and a broader project to implement low-carbon solutions as part of the procurement process.
Spring was a busy time! We had several project procurements of various scales running simultaneously. Soon after I started, a fairly large modular temporary facility project began, and I was able to dive into its procurements right away. In addition, there has been work in project procurement on a smaller scale when support and quick help have been needed with individual procurements, both in the calculation phase and in international procurement.
In addition to project procurement, over the past six months, I have also been able to develop customer procurement through both framework agreement tenders and the continuous development of the procurement process as the processes progress. The factory visit to the supplier in May is a good example of ensuring quality and responsibility. It's interesting to work with our customers, and every day you learn something new, get new thoughts and ideas, by keeping your eyes and ears open!"

"Planning, developing, and conducting trainings has been inspiring and interesting. As a trainer, I have now completed two procurement modules of the RATEKO's RET training, one procurement specialist training, and a procurement management training in collaboration with the university of applied sciences. I always leave these events feeling more knowledgeable and with fresh ideas!
It has been easy and enjoyable to work in our team: we work together, help each other, and have fun at the office. We take our work seriously, but there's always a twinkle in the eye. This is probably the most important thing for me and a big reason why I enjoy my work – thanks to our crew! Monthly development meetings provide a great opportunity for our team to think together about what we are doing, where we are going, and how. During more informal workshops, we have discovered good areas for development and ideas that we actively strive to put into practice to create even greater added value for our customers!"

"I would like to highlight our development project on implementing low carbon in the procurement process. The project is funded by Business Finland, and our aim is to explore how improving the procurement process can reduce emissions during the construction phase. We focus on the three largest emission-producing building components: concrete construction and elements, building services, and wood-aluminum windows. You can read more about this in a dedicated blog post – stay tuned!"
